for horse owners: practical advice to improve welfare & the environment

Every horse deserves to live in the best possible environment — whether you own your own land or keep your horse on a livery yard. At Switch Equine, we provide practical, evidence‑based advice to help you make changes that improve both your horse’s welfare and the environment they depend on.

Support for Livery Horse Owners

Even if you don’t control the land, there are often small changes you can make that have a big impact on your horse’s welfare. We can:

  • Review your horse’s routine and environment
  • Suggest practical adjustments to feeding, turnout, or stable management
  • Work with your yard owner if needed, or deliver training events to raise awareness of environmental and welfare improvements (see our stakeholder engagement section)

Remote Consultations (International)

Not every project needs an in‑person visit. Our 1‑hour online consultations (£50) give you expert guidance from the comfort of your home. We’ll discuss your current challenges, aspirations, and practical options for improvement.

Optional Short Report

Following your consultation, you can request a concise written summary of the key points and tailored recommendations. This short report provides a clear reference you can revisit, helping you put advice into practice with confidence.
